This Is the Golden Era of Conservatism – Has it peaked?

This is the conservative dream, and by conservative I mean what conservatives represent; nation states and power accumulation through mechanisms of domination. Over decades of manipulating an already coercive and authoritarian system, conservatives working with neoliberals have won total control.

I think what we are seeing here under the reign of Trump 2.0 is a culmination of a long conservative push to the right that has taken over the entire political system and government institutions. The democrats were always sellouts but they became much more obvious sellouts after they were taken over by blue dog democrats, which is now just your standard democrat, basically the equivalent of a moderate republican from 40 years ago.

Over time the judges have pushed right, the donor class has pushed right, they forced out people who had dissent all over as limited as it was, and now just about everything is in alignment in the deep state desires for domination with full support from corporations, banking systems, and even most organized religions. It’s all bled down to local courts and governments all over the country. For lack of a better description, it’s this ideology of neoliberal rapacious financial imperialism that’s been chewing through the planet at an accelerated pace, it’s an extension of totalitarianism  with a softer touch, that has all the leverage right now and they are using it to do what the US has always wanted to do since its inception, dominate the world.

Though I also sense times are a changin’ once again, pendulum swinging from the Empire Striking back, despite the peak conservatism of the moment. There’s an acceleration of everything and people seem to be getting things now in greater numbers. By the end of Trump’s second run I think his brand of hucksterism is going to start to lose traction and more are going to start questioning the entire system itself. That seems inevitable.
